AKA Energy Systems works closely with major Energy & Petrochemical companies and Offshore Oil and Gas drilling companies, supporting their Sustainability and Green initiatives.

With the 2013 Offshore Drilling Industry downturn, then the 2020 Covid Pandemic to compound an increasingly deteriorating business outlook, AKA Energy Systems realized its ambition, pivoting to deliver Land-Based renewable energy Microgrids with the commencement in 2022 of the Sunbank (Prince Edward Island) 23MW Solar / BESS grid-connected Microgrid.

With the completion and delivery of the Sunbank system in 2024, Island Microgrids has been formed, a sister/partner company to AKA Energy Systems to continue a focus on Land-based Microgrid systems with AKA Energy Systems serving Islands, Cities, and Communities with Mega-Watt solutions, and Industrial and residential consumers with kilo-Watt solutions delivering energy independence and resilience and supporting consumers to transition to Green & Cleaner sustainable energies in a cost-effective manner.
